the drive to the airport on the morning of the 23rd was eerily quick. barely saw any other cars because of Midsommer. Did learn that Swedish is the second official language of Finland and is shown on all of the official signs in Finland.
We arrived back in Helsinki on the afternoon of June 22nd, right before "Midsommer". The city was already deserted, all of the shops had closed at noon. This lovely bank of small irises lined the back walk into the hotel, the Katajanokka, where we had stayed at the beginning of our time. May the circle be unbroken
