  2. I’d love to learn more about how you got about, if you used a professional tour group/guide or if you went by rail. I’m trying to map out my trip and need to make it back from Hungary to Bucharest but I want to hit the North and Northeastern parts of Romania – on a very limited income. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

      I was traveling with two friends who had never been to Romania before. I have been there several times and have friends that I work with in Bucharest. I persuaded a colleague to let us pay for his room and board in exchange for him taking us all in his car. We paid for his fuel, hotels and meals…but we weren’t on a really limited budget.
